Pick Your Own Pricing 2011
The price for Pick Your Own berries will be $15 per level bucket (about a gallon) for 2011, unchanged for the last seven years. Cash or checks only please. No memberships or reservations are needed. Picking buckets and "carry home" packaging will be supplied. Children can use a quart basket in which to pick, then place their berries in their parent's bucket, or purchase them for $5. Buckets and quart baskets are to be returned to us.
No need to bring anything but yourself, family, and a camera. Insect repellant might be a good idea. An ice cooler would be helpful during hot weather to carry your berries home if you have to travel a ways. (No open-toed shoes or sandals please. Our fire ants are usually mad because we are constanly trying to kill them.) Check the "Hours" page for more information about when we are open and the "Farm Pictures" page to see our farm. We also have a Facebook page which I update regularly.
Pre-picked blackberries will be $20 per bucket (gal.), limited because of labor concerns (I lost my brother/partner Randy in February '09), and will be only for the elderly that are disabled. Please call ahead (or send e-mail) if you would like for us to pick the berries for you. Remember, this is a service for those who are not able to pick for themselves.
Accepted forms of payment are cash and check. Sorry, no credit cards.
